Fire Engine is one of bands of the younger music generation of Hong Kong and they are also one of the best bands of their generation. I met them about one year after the opening of 48th Street and it was Vincent Lim I met first. When we got to know each other better, Vince asked me if I would mind if he can do some music at 48th Street on a Monday night. I saw them played that Monday nightt. Although we come form different music backgrounds and were brought up with different music, I enjoy so much of what they do I immediately invited them to play on a regular basis. Not only do they have the technique but also the heart and passion for music. Their relative tender age belied their music maturity. Here is their story :-
